How to convince my parents to let me choose the university where I want to study?

For a start unfortunately my parents are Indian. They have always been like super over protective, and in the past years I have made up my mind to ignore it all as I would be moving away for my university. Now.. after being so sure about it, my parents are now starting to plan long term as though i would stay in Singapore. I have already told my mom clearly, I will move out. Now she is just smiling and going do you think we will pay? The costs of university is expensive for me, as all the universities that offer the course i want are world's best at that course and are private. But i have taken that into consideration and have made sure in no circumstances will my parents pay more then 12 000 Euros or about $20K something like that... and my school is 22k- 23k US so basically the cost is alright. But they are still so stubborn on keeping me in Singapore. They sorta just want to keep me inside their little safe zone and sometimes i feel like they are just doing it because i want to get out.. how to convince them that it is alright to be outside.. and that i really do not want to be in Singapore. btw my dad is a professor at the best university in Singapore but it doesent offer the course i want, but he still wants me to be in Singapore, and i honestly hate it.. what should i do?? o___0
