Would you receive money from your ex/ babys father to support yourself?

... despite the fact that my sons dad has a secret love child with me (your thinking secret?!)- well, he wouldnt inform any of his family or friends that he got a kid for some reason I cant unravel. Anyway he does not pay child support but contributes towards his upbgringing by buying his essentials (milk, nappies, clothing, stroller/buggy), visits every other weekend and even gave our son his first and last name (He shares the same name with his own father, my sons grandfather). He`s asked for my bank account details to put money in for MY upkeep (he made it clear that its for me). Im confused, we are not together at the moment, No one from his side is aware he has a kid and he was a prick during my pregnancy... all he was interested in was sex and obviously wanted me to have a termination. Although I could do with the money, but would you accept it? Does it sound like he has an agenda?
