Why is the Exclusive Economic Zone important to Australia?

Well because, lets think about it. If Australia didnt have and exclusive economic zone, where would its econmy be? Think about it this way. If theres a guy over here saying "hey, whats going on?" and theres a guy over there saying "hey, what do you mean?" Nothing would be solved. So without the exclusive economic zone nobody would really know what the heck is going on.
